Overview
I am an accounting and business professional with 20 years of experience working in accounting, industry, and consulting. In my current role as Principal and Client Relationship Leader, I focus on building and cultivating relationships, as well as supporting over 1,500 professionals across CLA's Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice as we work together to create opportunities for our clients and communities.
Prior to my current role, I worked for over 10 years in the areas of internal audit, risk management and financial reporting, with a focus on serving the financial institutions industry. I have an extensive background working with internal audit, internal controls, COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, financial reporting and the application of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles. In serving in these roles within financial institutions, my experience also includes working directly with banking regulations and FFIEC interagency guidance, bank regulatory authorities, and overseeing safety & soundness examinations.
I am a Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina.
