Many of our readers know that I write a column for Top Producer called the Farm CPA.  I can’t believe that I started writing this column almost ten years ago.  Time seems to fly fast especially as we get older.  I remember when I was in fifth grade watching that clock turn toward the end of the class day.  It seemed it took forever.  Now it seems that time just flies.

My friend Chris Barron had started a podcast a couple years ago called the Ag View Pitch and I have been a guest of that podcast several times.  My best experience as a Farm CPA is going out to visit my client’s farm operations or visiting a new farm for the first time.

I thought it might be good to start a Podcast that simply interviews farmers to find out what is unique about their farm operation; what they may have done right or wrong; how they grew it to where it is today; and what their plans are for the future.

This led to me creating the Farm CPA Podcast with Top Producer.  It started about three weeks ago and the podcast will be weekly and will likely be available each Tuesday.  We are still working out the kinks in getting it onto all of the normal channels such as Apple Podcasts, etc.

The Podcast will primarily be interviews of farmers.  However, there will be interviews with others in the Ag industry.  We will also do special podcasts such as this one on the American Family Plan.

If you are interested in telling your farm story please feel free to reach out to me.

Here is a link to a podcast I did with Jim Wiesemeyer.

I will keep you posted when it is available on the normal podcast channels.
