Every October, cooperatives across the globe celebrate co-op month. This year’s theme, Owning our Identity, is a chance to celebrate what makes cooperative businesses distinct in the marketplace. As the world continues to change and evolve at record pace, cooperatives are guided by a set of shared principles and values — democracy, equity, and solidarity — that facilitate and drive economic and social transformation. As we celebrate you this month, think about what principles and values guide your cooperative in staying true to your identity while maintaining relevance to your members during an ever-changing environment.
