Laura Vansuch

Overview

Laura leads our Washington D.C. nonprofit assurance and tax team and has more than 20 years of experience auditing, accounting, and consulting with nonprofit organizations. She has developed audit plans, assisted with fieldwork coordination, and performed audit reporting for financial statement audits. In addition, she has completed various tax returns for nonprofits. Her experience includes providing services to a variety of complex tax-exempt organizations including, religious organizations, independent schools, social service organizations, foundations, associations, and others. She is a member of the firm’s national nonprofit industry team. Laura also serves as an audit and accounting instructor internally for CLA, training staff on accounting and auditing changes and other topics affecting nonprofits. She has also taught at several seminars on various topics, including sessions on FASB reporting standards changes for nonprofits, risks of occupational fraud facing nonprofits, telling your full story with the form 990, and grant compliance.
