Overview
Brenda began her career as an internal auditor for a financial institution in Chicago. After one year, Brenda came back to central Illinois and worked for RSM McGladrey for many years. In 2002 she began working for The Atkins Group, a family-owned real estate company as their CFO. Brenda worked at the Atkins Group for 16 years. The Atkins Group is a diverse company including property management for multi-family, retail and industrial tenants. The Atkins Group also managed operations in other industries including real estate development, agriculture, and golf. Brenda's next chapter was at Fairlawn Real Estate as their CFO. Fairlawn is also a family-owned real estate company, focusing in the multi-family area with some retail. Brenda joined Fairlawn in its early years helping to create an accounting department that works efficiently and with good controls in place.
Brenda began at CLA in June 2021 in BizOps as an outsoured controller to several entities in central Illinois.
