Overview
Bryon has been at CLA hia entire career and his current role is the Chief Business Officer.
As the Chief Business Officer, Bryon is responsible for looking at how technology and automation will impact CLA’s workforce. This includes impacts to hiring and the development of our people. In addition, the role oversees how the operations of the firm are managed and what impact changes and disrupters in today’s marketplace will have on the firm’s revenue streams.
Bryon has served the firm as a board member for 6 years. Bryon has more than 30 years of experience working primarily with closely held companies in the manufacturing, distribution and professional services industries and previously served as the Leader of the Private Industries Practice for the Minneapolis office for approximately 10 years, the Managing Principal of the Minneapolis office for four years and Regional Managing Principal of the Midwest for 3 years. Through these roles, Bryon has had the opportunity to lead or be part of many initiatives with the firm including innovation teams, strategic resource planning, growth and services including assurance, tax, outsourcing, wealth advisory and digital.
The biggest challenge in the role of Chief Business Officer is balancing the pace of change with the rate of adoption. The marketplace is dynamic and changing rapidly. CLA is embracing this change and disrupting the industry, but with that comes the challenge of bringing everyone along and ensuring the firm’s adoption is consistent and properly implemented.
