Overview
Maira is a Veteran of the US Army, having served our country for over six years. Upon enlisting, Maira joined the US Army Finance Corps and became a Financial Management Specialist. It was while serving when Maira discovered her passion for accounting. After completing her time in service, Maira pursued her degree in accounting and has served in the public accounting industry for more than 10 years.
Maira is an essential part of many large audits for the firm. She has been responsible for managing a range of planning, executing, summarizing and reporting on the results of the work for financial statement audits and applicable fillings for nonprofits and government entities. She is also an integral part of training our assurance staff and leading teams on some of our larger jobs.
Maira is a member of the firm’s Nonprofit team, and she also serves many Agribusiness and other Commercial industries.
Education
- Bachelor of science in business administration with emphasis in accounting from California State University Monterey Bay, Seaside, California
- American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
- Certified Public Accountant in the states of California and Texas
- California Society of Certified Public Accountants
