Overview
Reed is a partner in CliftonLarsonAllen's Sacramento office. He began his career in 1997 and spent the first eleven years of his career working with Big Four accounting firms where he obtained valuable experience working with individuals, family-owned businesses, partnerships, and S-corporations. He has in-depth experience providing federal and multi-state tax expertise to various industries, including agriculture, construction, manufacturing and real estate . He specializes in a variety of practice areas including compliance and tax planning, changes in income tax accounting methods, entity structuring, FAS 109, foreign taxation and estate and gift planning. In addition, he provides support on IRS controversies including those that require examinations and appeals.
Reed also specializes in complex transaction planning and provides support on both short and long - term projects. He has worked with several multi-state closely-held businesses and has a deep understanding of the reporting and compliance issues these businesses face. Reed is also well-experienced in helping his clients transition from their prior tax services provider in a seamless transition that minimizes the disruption to his client's businesses. His experience and technical expertise have enabled him to meet and exceed his clients' expectations.
