Overview
An Iowa native, Matt has experience working with businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, construction, investment company and financial institution industries. Based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota office, Matt has more than 20 years of experience serving clients on behalf of professional service firms. Matt is a presenter for CLA sponsored roundtables and a regular instructor for CLA internal learning. Matt assists in the development and presentation of firm wide training. He is actively involved in CLA's internal inspections of assurance engagements and peer reviews for other accounting firms. Matt has a get-it-done reputation for tackling complicated projects, demonstrating superior communication skills with clients and internal staff, and training managers, directors, seniors, associates, and interns. Matt works directly with client ownership, management, and staff to provide timely delivery of outsourced accounting solutions, assurance reports, and tax services.
Education
Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in accounting and a minor in business administration from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.

Matt is licensed as a CPA in Minnesota and he is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Matt is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as a member of the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate of Leadership MInnesota. Matt a member of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce's Fiscal Policy Committee. In addition, Matt is a board member of the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce.
