Overview
Steve is a manager in CliftonLarsonAllen's State and Local Tax (SALT) group who works exclusively in the area of sales tax. Steve handles issues related to multistate research, planning, audit defense, performing reverse sales tax audits, due diligence, and nexus analysis.
Steve is an attorney who received his Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2012. Prior to joining CLA, Steve had several years of experience working as a Tax Counsel at Sovos Compliance, a sales tax automation software provider. There he performed extensive sales tax research and analysis in every state, helping companies stay compliant with up-to-date law changes. Additionally, he is actively involved with the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board where he has been able to develop strong relationships with members of state Department of Revenues throughout the country.
