I am a social entrepreneur and a passionate advocate of the power of (relatively) free-markets to create social change. My career is a series of assisting clients as a part-time CFO along with a few deep investments of time and money in my own start-ups designed to make the world better.
In February 2021 I decided I could best serve my CFO consulting clients by joining CLA, a CPA firm with a strong business consulting practice in Minnesota and nationally. I am thrilled to provide business strategy and CFO services to ag and high-growth business clients in Southern MN.
My family owns and operates a large grain farm in IL and a cow/calf ranch in Oklahoma.
I’ve worked as a Consulting CFO to over 130 businesses and non-profits since 1997, in a broad range of industries, such as manufacturing, restaurants, software development, transportation, meat processing, marketing, e-commerce, ag, and food distribution.
As founder of Thousand Hills Cattle Company, a pioneering 100% grassfed beef brand, I learned how to be a visionary, build a great team, lead a fast-growth startup and scaled up production of fresh 100% grassfed beef to serve grocery retailers, restaurants, and foodservice through the Upper Midwest.
