Today, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), one of the leading professional service firms in the United States, announced a local community giving event tied to a regional internal learning conference that brought 1,300 CLA family members to Nashville.
With support from Hands On Nashville (HON), CLA family members dedicated one evening to creating care kits for the Hispanic Family Foundation, PENCIL, and People Loving Nashville.
“Continued support for our community and DEI initiatives is integral to our commitment to serving and growing in Nashville,” said Mike Slavik, firmwide expansion leader and managing principal of CLA’s Nashville office. “We’re grateful for Hands on Nashville and their help connecting our CLA family with a chance to give back.”
CLA family members created care packages and handwritten personal letters. HON helped CLA coordinate the event and will deliver the care kits.
- 200 new mom kits will go to the Hispanic Family Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Hispanic families and providing programs that strengthen the Nashville Hispanic community.
- Teacher appreciation kits with classroom supplies will go to Metro Nashville Public Schools through PENCIL. The organization believes community involvement is key to academic success for teachers and students.
- People Loving Nashville brings love and dignity to their neighbors, and they now have 600 care kits to help people experiencing homelessness in the summer months.
The evening also highlighted three local female entrepreneurs and founders of color, supporting the Nashville Entrepreneur Center (NEC).
“CLA Nashville’s passion for service is tremendous,” said Stephanie Styll, Vice President, Communications & Development, HON. “We’re thrilled to have collaborated to create a giving event full of energy, fun, and meaning. Events like this feed our purpose — HON connects thousands of volunteers of all ages to more than 300 service projects each month.”
CLA is committed to engaging in the community to support Nashville’s continued growth and business innovation. Upon announcing plans to open its Nashville office in 2021, CLA began work with the NEC, serving as a program partner for Twende pre-flight and in-flight organizations. The relationship with Nashville Entrepreneur Center led to involvement in additional programs, such as the Nashville Health Care Council and EO Nashville.
CLA continues to serve clients of all sizes across various industries in the Nashville market, with growing traction in health care, private equity, and real estate.
