The $10,000 donation to Hands on Nashville demonstrates CLA’s ongoing commitment to support the Middle Tennessee community.
Nashville, Tenn. — Today, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), the eighth largest accounting firm in the United States, announced it awarded a $10,000 donation to Hands on Nashville (HON), a volunteer resource center that connects volunteers to the organizations and causes they care about.
“CLA is setting the standard for how to be a good steward to the Nashville community,” said Stephanie Styll, vice president, communications & development, HON. “The $10,000 donation to Hands On Nashville built capacity for four nonprofits in one evening. It’s a lasting and sustainable gift. We are grateful to the team for paving the path for other corporations to engage in ethical and socially responsible practices, and we are excited about continuing to deepen a relationship with CLA and the Nashville community.”
CLA announced plans to open its Nashville office in 2021 and began collaborating with HON in February 2022. The relationship with HON has helped CLA understand what the community wants in support from local businesses.
“As CLA expanded into the Nashville marketplace, we committed to engage with the community in a meaningful way,” said Mike Slavik, firmwide expansion leader and managing principal of CLA’s Nashville office. “Understanding what the community is already doing and listening to understand how CLA can support is critical. This donation is in appreciation of HON’s role in connecting CLA and other Nashville businesses to the greater community.”
Anyone interested in volunteering can browse hon.org to find one-time or ongoing volunteer opportunities, making it easy to plug into volunteer work and learn about nonprofit organizations in Middle Tennessee. HON also connects groups that want to serve with opportunities to serve, working alongside local nonprofits to understand their needs and offering project management for volunteer events. Finally, as part of Nashville’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, HON coordinates volunteer efforts for the city when disaster strikes.
CLA remains committed to engaging in the community to support Nashville’s continued growth and business innovation and encouraging CLA family member involvement. In addition to community work, CLA serves clients of all sizes across various industries in the Nashville market, with growing traction in health care, private equity, and real estate.
